Mexico withdraws bid for 2036 Olympics due to intense competition. Instead, they will focus on bidding for the Youth Olympic Games and possibly the 2027 Pan American Games. President of the National Olympic Committee, Maria Jose Alcala, mentioned ongoing discussions with the IOC for the Youth Olympics and confirmed interest from Nuevo Leon for the Pan American Games.
