Manchester City cruise to first Club World Cup triumph

Manchester City won the Club World Cup for the first time, extending European clubs' domination of the competition. Julian Alvarez scored the fastest goal ever in a Club World Cup final. Pep Guardiola made history as the first coach to lift the Club World Cup on four occasions with three different clubs. City also won the UEFA Super Cup for the first time. City's victory capped off a successful year with five major titles.
